Albany, NY – The Albany Telugu Association (ATA) marked the UGADI celebrations, the Telugu New Year, with grand festivities at the Empire State Plaza in Albany on April 21st. The event drew a significant crowd of Telugu residents from the Albany area, as well as prominent figures from the Telugu entertainment industry.

Among the notable guests were popular actor Ali and his spouse, acclaimed music director RP Patnayak, Bigg Boss winner Kaushal and his wife, and singer Sai Priya.

The festivities commenced with a ceremonial puja and the distribution of ‘Shadruchula prasadam’, a traditional dish made with five sweet and savory ingredients. Following this, a ‘panchanga shravanam’, the customary reading of the Telugu almanac for the forthcoming year, was conducted.

The cultural segment of the event featured enthralling performances by RP Patnayak, Sai Priya, and young talents from the ATA. The audience was further captivated by a dance presentation by Kaushal and his spouse.

During his address, Ali reflected on his illustrious 25-year journey in the Telugu film industry, sharing intriguing anecdotes from his career. Kaushal extended Ugadi wishes to all attendees and also discussed his upcoming cinematic venture, ‘Kannappa’.

ATA President Venkat Jasti expressed gratitude to all the guests and sponsors for their invaluable support in making the event a resounding success. He also extended Ugadi greetings to everyone present.
