Hyderabad / Gandhinagar (Gujarat): Padma Shri awardee Dr. J.M. Vyas, Founding Vice-Chancellor of the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), congratulated tech-journalism expert Muddam Narasimha Swamy, author of Artificial Intelligence in Modern Journalism.
During a visit by a delegation of Telangana journalists to NFSU in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, Dr. Vyas met with the team and reviewed Swamy’s book. He commended the author’s analysis of modern technology, artificial intelligence, and their application in journalism. Notably, Dr. Vyas shared that the chapter on the ‘Metaverse’ from the book is currently taught at NFSU. Following the interaction, he felicitated Muddam Narasimha Swamy with a shawl. PIB IIS officer Varganti Gayatri and the delegation of Telangana journalists were present at the event.

Dr. Vyas noted that with the rising influence of artificial intelligence, the metaverse, and digital technologies in journalism, books covering these topics serve as valuable resources for journalists, media students, and researchers.

Insights into Forensic Education and Research
Organized by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) Hyderabad, the visiting delegation of Telangana journalists explored NFSU to gain insight into its academic, research, and training initiatives. Dr. J.M. Vyas briefed the group on various departments, including Forensic Science, Behavioral Science, Cybersecurity, and Digital Investigation. The team subsequently toured the university’s advanced laboratories and digital forensics infrastructure.
