Hyderabad: Under the auspices of the Indian Red Cross Society, Hyderabad Branch, a grand Free Mega Surgery & Medical Camp was organized at Samskruti Raj Bhavan Community Hall, Somajiguda with the support of Disable Trust, Badri Vishal Pannalal Pitti Trust, Agarwal Sevadal, Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti, Dr. Nari Charitable Trust, Ramdev Rao Hospital, and Janajagruti Trust.
Hon’ble Telangana Governor Shri Jishnu Dev Varma graced the event as the Chief Guest and distributed electric vehicles, crutches, calipers, artificial limbs, walkers, and wheelchairs to the beneficiaries.
Special Guests included State Minister Shri Adluri Laxman and Hyderabad Collector Smt. Harichandana.
The program was attended by Disable Trust Chairman Veeraiah, Red Cross State CEO Sriramulu, MLA Kala Yadayya, Red Cross Chairman Bheem Reddy, and Dr. Vijay Bhaskar (Organizing Chairman).
Dr. Keerthana Yadav (Founder, Dr. Nari Charitable Trust) played a crucial role in organizing the camp and mobilizing the medical team.
Support in mobilizing the disabled from various regions came from Gangaram (FED Organization), Srinivas (Disabled Network), Nam Nageshwar, and Kiran Gutikonda.
Vijaya and Anuradha from the Red Cross team worked with great dedication for the success of the camp.
The main theme of the camp was: “Transforming the Disabled into Able.”

More than 900 beneficiaries attended the camp, of which 71 persons with disabilities were selected for surgeries.
In his address, the Governor emphasized the importance of rehabilitation, recreation, and sports for the disabled.
Minister Adluri Laxman assured that adequate funds and support would be provided for the welfare and development of persons with disabilities.
Organizing Chairman Dr. Vijay Bhaskar highlighted the significance of microsurgeries in correcting physical deformities.
On this occasion, special thanks were conveyed to the Raj Bhavan team for providing the hall, and gratitude was also extended to the media representatives for spreading awareness of the camp among the public.
