Over 7,500 Telugu Families Participate in North America’s Largest Telugu Gathering

The 2nd Convention of Mana American Telugu Association (MATA) was celebrated on a grand scale in Greater Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, emerging as a symbol of Telugu culture, community service, and social unity in North America. Held over two days at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center & Fairgrounds, the convention attracted more than 7,500 Telugu families, making it one of the largest Telugu gatherings in North America.


The event became a vibrant celebration with the participation of several renowned film personalities and entertainers. Popular celebrities including Nikhil Siddhartha, Aishwarya Rajesh, Devi Sri Prasad (DSP), Jaya Prada, Suman, Ali, Anchor Suma, Anchor Pradeep Machiraju, Hollywood actor Vishy Ayyer, Shiva Reddy, Adhire Abhi, Tsunami Sudhakar, Mimicry Ramesh, and others entertained the audience with their performances. Singer Ram Miriyala’s live musical concert emerged as one of the major highlights of the convention.
The first day of the event was hosted by Anchor Nikhil Vijayendra Simha, while Anchor Suma and Anchor Pradeep Machiraju hosted the second day’s celebrations, adding energy and excitement to the proceedings.


Prestigious Awards Presented
During the convention, veteran actress Jaya Prada was honored with the MATA Lifetime Achievement Award. The prestigious Pride of India Awards were presented to Dr. M.S. Reddy and Dr. Harinath Policherla for their remarkable contributions.
The organization also conferred MATA Excellence Awards upon distinguished individuals for their outstanding achievements in community service, business, arts, healthcare, innovation, and other fields. Award recipients included:

Rockstar music director Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) captivated the audience with an electrifying live concert. The convention featured world-class audio-visual technology, advanced lighting systems, and exceptional event management, creating a memorable experience for attendees.
The celebrations commenced with a Grand Banquet, featuring a wide range of Telugu, Indian, and international cuisines. The main convention began with an inspiring display of religious harmony, as an Imam, a Christian Pastor, and a Hindu Priest jointly offered prayers.


Spiritual programs such as the Sri Sita Rama Shobha Yatra, Bhadrachalam Sri Sita Rama Kalyana Mahotsavam, and Pattabhishekam attracted devotees and showcased Telugu religious traditions.
