Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, urging students to join Oraniyil Tamil Nadu, the DMK’s outreach initiative, declared on Wednesday that a united student community would make the State invincible.

In his address at the inauguration of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Jamal Mohamed College, Trichy, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin accentuated that while the paths of leaders like Gandhi, Ambedkar, and Periyar offer guidance and inspiration, the ideology represented by the Godse group must be firmly overruled, he added that for the Dravidian Model government, the development of the State remains a top priority, with knowledge serving as its cornerstone. In line with this vision, the government has been implementing a range of initiatives to provide high-quality education—something, he noted, that students are well aware of.

Praising the role of Jamal Mohamed College in nation-building, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said the institution has fostered a wealth of talent who have excelled across diverse fields, quoting two of his ministers were studied in Jamal and hoped more students from Jamal Mohamed College may join in his ministry later. These alumni have brought great pride to their alma mater, which continues to advance and achieve success on multiple fronts, he added.

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid tribute to the founders of the college, noting that Janab N.M. Khajamian Rowther’s donation of 100 acres for educating the needy, and Hajee M. Jamal Mohamed Sahib’s efforts in building the college infrastructure, are lasting legacies that will always be remembered. He recalled the vision of Hajee M. Jamal Mohamed Sahib and Janab. N.M Khajamian Rowther, the founding fathers to provide quality higher education and impart training in productive services to the Community. He recalled that Hajee Jamal Mohamed Rowther had offered a blank cheque to Mahatma Gandhi as a gesture of unwavering support for India’s freedom movement.

Ministers K.N. Nehru, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, and Govi Chezhian; Indian Union Muslim League president K.M. Kader Mohideen; and Member of Parliament Tiruchi Siva; were among the dignitaries who participated in the event. Earlier, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the newly built Global Jamalians Block.

The Jamal Mohamed College Alumni Block, stands as a testament to the unwavering support of the college’s global alumni, inaugurated by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, is the latest addition constructed by the college’s alumni spread across the globe.

The event has brought together global alumni, present students, professors, teaching staff, and the management team in a grand celebration.
