National Best Teacher Award recipient Maram Pavithra launches the first look
Hyderabad: The first look of ‘Jayannth & the JINGO PEN’, the upcoming Telugu film directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Naveen Desaboina, was unveiled on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. Produced under the banner of Namo Jayam Productions by Divya Praveen Bolishetty, the film features Jayannth in the titular role, while veteran actor Tanikella Bharani and Satyam Rajesh play pivotal characters.
The first-look poster was launched by Maram Pavithra, recipient of the National Best Teacher Award, as part of the Teachers’ Day celebrations.
Speaking on the occasion, actor Jayannth said the film explores the challenges faced by students in schools while also reflecting various aspects of the contemporary education system.
“‘Jayannth & the JINGO PEN’ is a new kind of cinematic experiment. We have attempted to present the subject in an engaging manner and offer audiences a fresh experience,” he said.
Director Naveen Desaboina said the film follows his earlier acclaimed work Latha Bhagwan Khare, which won 32 awards, including the National Award and Filmfare Award.
“‘Jayannth & the JINGO PEN’ is based on the Malayalam film Philips and the Monkey Pen, which enjoyed a successful theatrical run of 111 days. We have adapted the core idea to suit Telugu audiences, incorporating family emotions along with themes related to the education system,” he said.
The director expressed confidence that the film would connect with Telugu audiences through its emotional and socially relevant narrative.
Actor Satyam Rajesh, who plays a school teacher in the film, said he was delighted that the first look was released on Teachers’ Day by a National Best Teacher Award recipient.
“It is a matter of pride and happiness for me that the first look of a film in which I play a teacher was unveiled on Teachers’ Day by a nationally recognised teacher. I feel fortunate to be part of such a meaningful project,” he said.
Producer Divya Praveen Bolishetty said schools hold a special place in her heart.
“To me, a school is a temple and teachers are its deities. That is why we have chosen a school as the starting point for the film’s promotions as well. Praveen and I are proud to produce this film and are making every effort to create a movie that connects with audiences,” she said.
The film stars Jayannth, Tanikella Bharani, Satyam Rajesh, Manasa Radhakrishnan, Ashish Gandhi and Kasi Viswanath, among others.
