Complaint Filed at DGP Office Seeking Legal Action Against Hamara Prasad

Hyderabad: A complaint has been filed at the office of the Director General of Police (DGP), seeking legal action against a person named Hamara Prasad, who is allegedly spreading false and unverified information on social media about the personality, life, ideology and role of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar in the making of the Indian Constitution.

In this regard, the complainants met IG Chandrasekhar at the DGP office in Hyderabad on Monday and submitted a complaint. They brought to the IG’s attention that Hamara Prasad was allegedly disseminating false and unverified information about Dr. Ambedkar on social media and was also promoting a book titled ‘Kalpita Nayakudu’ (Fictional Leader), claiming that it would be released soon.

The complainants stated that Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar played a crucial role in the framing of the Indian Constitution and alleged that attempts to tarnish his reputation through false propaganda could create misconceptions, hatred and unrest in society.

They urged the authorities to conduct a thorough inquiry into the matter and verify the facts relating to the claims being circulated. They appealed to IG Chandrasekhar to initiate stringent legal action against the concerned person if any criminal offence is established during the investigation.

Teegala Ashok Kumar, National President of the SC Welfare Association; Devathi Srinivas, State Leader of the Bahujan Mukti Party; Pagidimarri Rajasekhar, State Working President of the Bahujan Welfare Association; and others participated in the programme.

They stated that they would continue their legal and democratic struggle to protect the dignity of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, constitutional values and social justice.
