Hyderabad (MediaBoss Network): Telangana Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao unveiled a book on Krantipita Guruvar Lahuji Salve at his office in the Telangana Secretariat in Hyderabad.

The original Marathi work, written by Chandrakant Van Khed, was translated into Telugu by Gaikwad Tulsidas Mang and published by the Telangana Sahitya Akademi. Speaking on the occasion, the minister highlighted that Lahuji Salve dedicated his entire life to the service of the nation and society without marrying, and played a crucial role in inspiring and shaping thousands of freedom fighters. 🇮🇳

He also noted that Lahuji Salve was the mentor of social reformer Jyotirao Phule and supported him in successfully carrying forward educational and social reform movements during that period. The minister said the Telangana government ensured the publication of the book through the Telangana Sahitya Akademi so that Telugu readers could access and learn about Salve’s life and contributions.

He urged people to read the book and carry forward the ideals and vision of Lahuji Salve in society.

The event was attended by Dr. Namoju Balachari, Secretary of Telangana Sahitya Akademi; senior journalist Jangiti Venkatesh; U. Nagarjuna, PS to the minister; translator Gaikwad Tulsidas Mang; and literary figure Somashila Tirupal, among others.
