Senior Tollywood actor Ravi Prakash, who is often recognized for his police roles, once again dons the khaki uniform in the new film ‘Vidrohi’. Billed as a suspense thriller, the movie stars Shivakumar, Charisma Srikar, and Saiki in the lead roles. Story
The story follows Karthik (Ravi Prakash), an Inspector in the Suryapet Town Circle, and his wife, Dr. Niharika (Charisma Srikar), who works at Avish Hospital. A mysterious masked man begins a reign of terror in their town. He first brutally murders a call girl by slitting her throat.
This same masked man, riding a bicycle at midnight, uses fake keys to enter houses where women are sleeping alone. He drugs them and rapes them while they are unconscious. The crimes hit close to home when Deepti, the elder daughter of Niharika’s close friend Pavitra, becomes a victim. After examining Deepti for rashes and severe bleeding, Niharika confirms she was raped.
Though Pavitra pleads for secrecy, Niharika informs her husband Karthik that a “secret crime” wave is happening in his circle. As Karthik and his team begin a covert investigation, the masked man strikes again, this time targeting a newlywed bride on her wedding night, assaulting her while her drugged groom lies unconscious beside her.
