Sircilla: The Telangana Development Forum (TDF), under its Vanitha Cheyutha Project, organized grand celebrations of International Women’s Day at the Apparel Park in Sircilla district. District Collector Garima Agrawal attended the event as the chief guest.
Sircilla District Congress In-charge K.K. Mahender Reddy, DRDA Project Director Geetha, Apparel Park AD Santosh, TDF India President Matta Rajeshwar Reddy, TDF Vanitha Cheyutha President T. Vani, TDF General Secretary Vinil, Texsport Regional HR Sagar, Local HR Madhukar, Samarth Trainer Sunitha, along with officials from various government departments and a large number of women, participated in the program.

With the support of DRDA, women selected from nine villages of Mustabad mandal were taken on an industry exposure and awareness visit to the Panchavate Textile Park. Later, orientation training sessions were conducted for women at the training centre functioning under the Ministry of Textiles at the Sircilla Apparel Park.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector Garima Agrawal conveyed her greetings on International Women’s Day and encouraged women to move forward in all fields. She advised them to make effective use of the schemes provided by the government and other organizations. In view of rising expenses, she said women should actively participate in employment or business activities to strengthen their families’ financial stability.

TDF India President Matta Rajeshwar Reddy explained the service activities carried out by TDF for the past 25 years. He said the Vanitha Cheyutha Project focuses on creating self-employment opportunities for women. As many women in the Sircilla region depend on beedi rolling and agriculture, which often leads to health problems, TDF has been providing tailoring training and free sewing machines to women from Mustabad mandal for the past three years to create alternative livelihood opportunities. He also encouraged women to utilize employment opportunities available in companies at the Apparel Park.

Representatives from Panchavate Company, including HR officials Madhukar and Senior Vice President HR Sagar, gave a presentation about job opportunities available in the company and expressed readiness to provide training to interested women.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, TDF also honored women who have made notable contributions in various fields. Rekha, a handloom worker from Sircilla, was felicitated by the District Collector for weaving the special “Naari Shakti” saree, which she created with dedication over three months. Yasala Mamatha, a Batik artist who trains youth in Batik art and works to promote the craft, was also honored during the event.
