Hyderabad: As part of the Vanitha Cheyutha initiative, the Telangana Development Forum (TDF) has launched a free beautician training program for women from the Banjara Hills NTB Nagar slum. Notably, the course—worth up to ₹1 lakh—is being provided completely free of cost.The program was inaugurated by TDF New Jersey member Indira Sriram, TDF–USA Chairman Murali Chintalapani, former President Dr. Dinesh Ani Reddy, Challa Kavitha, TDF–India President Matta Rajeshwar Reddy, and Vanitha Cheyutha–India President T. Vani.Speaking on the occasion, T. Vani stated that the training camp is being conducted with the support of the government-affiliated organization SETWIN. She expressed hope that economically backward women from the slum would complete the training with discipline and dedication and move towards self-employment.Indira Sriram encouraged the participants, saying, “This training offers a life-changing opportunity for women. By making the best use of it, they can build sustainable livelihoods through self-employment.”TDF–India President Matta Rajeshwar Reddy said the forum’s objective is to promote economic empowerment of women in Telangana by providing self-employment training. Former President Dr. Dinesh Ani Reddy and Challa Kavitha assured that TDF would also facilitate employment opportunities for trained women.TDF–USA Chairman Murali Chintalapani affirmed, “Whenever Telangana women seek support, TDF will be at the forefront to extend a helping hand.”The event was attended by SETWIN Area Manager Amina Bhanu, TDF USA and India members, women residents of the Banjara Hills slum, and trainees, who together made the program a success.
