English language skills play a crucial role in preparing students to compete at a global level in the 21st century, said Mangareddy, Chief Faculty of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT).

He stated that after the introduction of English medium education in government schools, the English Language Teachers’ Association of Telangana (ELTA–Telangana) has been organizing several innovative programmes over the past four years to enhance students’ English language skills.
