Eturunagaram (Mulugu district): The inauguration of development works at the Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS), Ramannagudem, in Eturunagaram mandal was held in a festive atmosphere on Tuesday.
Modern toilet facilities constructed for students at a cost of ₹1.20 lakh, with support from the DNR Trust, were formally inaugurated by Mulugu District Education Officer (DEO) Siddharth Reddy by cutting the ribbon.
Later, the DEO unveiled portraits of 33 eminent scientists worth ₹19,000 installed in the school’s science laboratory. Speaking on the occasion, he appreciated the contribution of donors in providing better facilities for students and said that the scientists’ portraits would inspire students and enhance their interest in research and scientific thinking.
Keeping in mind students’ health and hygiene, the DNR Trust extended this generous support to the school. The scientist portraits set up in the science lab are expected to help students gain awareness about great scientific discoveries and innovations.
DNR Trust President Pratap Reddy, village Sarpanch Gaddala Naveen, Balaraju, Eshavadla Venkanna, and others attended the programme.
School Headmaster Koyyada Mallaiah expressed gratitude to the guests and donors, stating that the school would continue to progress further with such support. DEO office coordinators, teachers, and a large number of students were also present at the event.
