Hyderabad, – Raavi Murali Mohan, an NRI based in the United States, has accused supporters of former minister and TDP MLA Pattipati Pullarao of illegally occupying his ₹60 crore commercial property, Sai Karthik City Center, in Chilakaluripet, Andhra Pradesh. Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad alongside his parents, Murali alleged that the encroachment began on August 5, 2024, and despite repeated appeals to authorities, he has received no assistance.

The Sai Karthik City Center, a sprawling commercial complex funded by Murali’s life savings and bank loans, features two theaters, two function halls, and multiple floors of commercial spaces. Murali claims the occupiers have barred access to the premises, severely disrupting operations and affecting the livelihoods of over 40 employees. An adjacent ice factory has also been forced to shut down, compounding the economic impact on local workers.

Murali alleges that the encroachers are using a disputed ₹97 lakh loan from an individual named Kandimalla Anjibabu as a pretext to seize the property. He asserts that no legal documentation substantiates the debt but has expressed willingness to settle any verified claims through proper legal channels. Additionally, Murali reported that his mother, a cancer survivor living near the complex, is being denied access to essential supplies like food and medicine.

According to Murali, the occupiers have destroyed CCTV cameras, disconnected internet services, and assumed full control of the property. Despite filing a complaint with the Chilakaluripet police, he claims the authorities have dismissed the issue as a civil dispute and taken no action. Murali has sought recourse through the National Human Rights Commission and the High Court, which ruled in his favor, but local police have allegedly failed to enforce the court’s directive.

Murali accuses local MLA supporters of influencing police inaction and claims his family is facing false legal cases and death threats. He further alleges a deliberate effort to suppress coverage of the issue in Andhra Pradesh media, prompting him to hold the press conference in Hyderabad to amplify his plea for justice.

Having submitted complaints to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh, Murali reports ongoing pressure from local police and alleged proxies of TDP leaders. He emphasized that the complex was built to contribute to the development of his hometown, but the encroachment has plunged his family into financial and emotional distress.

Murali remains resolute in his fight to reclaim the property and resume business operations, urging authorities to intervene and ensure justice. He reiterated his readiness to address any legitimate debts but condemned the forceful occupation as unlawful.

The incident has ignited public outrage in Chilakaluripet, with growing calls for accountability from local authorities and elected representatives to address the alleged land grab and restore Murali’s rights.
