The film also stars Prabhavati, Rithvik, Hareek, and Shireesh in pivotal roles. Released in theaters today, April 1, 2025, let’s dive into this review to see how the movie fares.

Story:

A poignant tale of love, sacrifice, and the cost of dreams. Venkanna (Satya Prakash) and Lakshmi (Prabhavati), basket weavers from Veduru Gudem, yearn for a child for 30 long years. Their happiness knows no bounds when Lakshmi finally conceives. However, Venkanna’s conflicts with the local MLA force them to flee their village. Settling in a new town, they raise their son Keshav (Rithvik) amidst financial struggles. Initially rebellious, Keshav eventually pursues engineering. To support his education, Venkanna moves to Hyderabad, enduring hardships along the way.

Keshav lands a high-paying job in the U.S., but heartbreak and guilt over his father’s sacrifices weigh heavily on him. Meanwhile, Venkanna’s health deteriorates, and conflicts in the city lead to his untimely demise. On his graduation day, Keshav honors his father’s memory but is left grappling with the burden of unreciprocated sacrifices.

*Performances*:

Satya Prakash is the soul of this film as Venkanna. Known for his villainous roles, he transforms into a tender, struggling father, delivering a performance that tugs at the heartstrings. His expressions and emotional depth are sure to leave audiences teary-eyed. Rithvik, as Keshav, shines brightly—charming the youth in love scenes and portraying the son’s anguish with authenticity when he realizes his father’s worth. Prabhavati, as Lakshmi, excels as the nurturing mother and supportive wife, bringing a natural grace to her role. Supporting actors like Hareek, Shireesh, Swathi, and others blend seamlessly into their characters, enhancing the narrative.

Technical Aspects:

The music is a standout feature of the film. Composers Gopinadh Konda and Arman Merugu deliver soul-stirring songs like *”Aakasam Rivvuna Karigindaa”* and *”Kashtam Edurainappudu Oodarpai”*, which resonate deeply with the audience. The background score elevates the emotional intensity of key scenes. Cinematography is another highlight, beautifully capturing both rural and urban landscapes, making every frame a visual treat. Editing could have been tighter in a few places, as some scenes feel slightly stretched. Despite being a low-budget film, producer Dr. Umarav has spared no effort in maintaining high production values, ensuring quality throughout.

Analysis:

Director Nirdesh masterfully showcases a father’s toil for his child’s success, bringing his story to life with clarity and emotion. The film keeps viewers connected, evoking memories of their own parents’ struggles. The climax is an emotional rollercoaster, leaving audiences in tears and overwhelmed with a sense of loss. This movie echoes the sentiment of the classic *Matrudevobhava*, which celebrated a mother’s love, but here it’s the father’s value that takes center stage. Watching *Nanna Malli Rava..!* in theaters promises a cathartic experience that lingers long after the credits roll.

Rating: 3.75 / 5

Verdict: For those who cherish family dramas, *Nanna Malli Rava..!* is an emotional journey worth taking. Satya Prakash’s stellar performance, coupled with excellent music and direction, makes this a must-watch film. Head to the theaters to feel your heart melt!
