Dallas, Texas: Ramana Krishna Kiran Duddagi has officially taken charge as the new President of Mana American Telugu Association (MATA). In a board meeting held in Dallas, he was sworn in amidst the recitation of verses from the Bhagavad Gita, Bible, and Quran, symbolizing equality. He will serve as the MATA President for the 2025-2026 term.

On this occasion, MATA Founder and former President Srinivas Ganagoni assumed the role of Advisory Council Member. The new board acknowledged that Ganagoni’s experience and guidance would be instrumental in MATA’s growth and mission. He expressed his appreciation for MATA’s efforts in serving the Telugu community and emphasized the importance of taking the organization to new heights.

Srinivas Ganagoni was recently honored as the 2024-25 “Person of the Year” by The Land Magazine, alongside renowned figures such as Satya Nadella and Pawan Kalyan. This prestigious recognition reflects his outstanding contributions to society.

Several MATA leaders, including Pradeep Samala and Jitender Reddy, addressed the gathering, emphasizing MATA’s core values of community service, leadership challenges, and opportunities. Jitender Reddy encouraged the new leadership to drive the organization forward with a strong vision.

Focus on Service, Culture, and Equality


After assuming office, Ramana Krishna Kiran Duddagi outlined his vision and five major goals for his tenure:

Service: Expanding community service initiatives to support Telugu families across the United States.
Culture: Promoting and preserving Telugu heritage through various cultural events.
Equality: Establishing new chapters to provide equal opportunities to all members.
Youth Empowerment: Creating platforms for young Telugu leaders to thrive.
Women’s Leadership: Increasing women’s participation in MATA’s activities and leadership roles.
Additionally, the board announced plans to host the MATA 2026 Convention, a landmark event focusing on Telugu culture, business, youth leadership, women empowerment, and community service. The event will also serve as the launchpad for MATA Muchchatta, a quarterly newsletter that will highlight the organization’s achievements and future initiatives.

More than 250 members attended the event, extending their support to the new leadership. Founders, advisory board members, executive committee members, board of directors, and regional representatives actively participated, making the event a grand success.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the newly formed MATA board raised the slogan: “Together We Grow, Together We Bring Change! Jai Ho MATA!”, reaffirming their commitment to MATA’s core values of Service, Culture, and Equality.
