Hyderabad: As part of its Health Service Project, the Telangana Development Forum (TDF) has donated medical equipment worth ₹20 lakhs to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad. The advanced esophageal and anal manometry machines, essential for the Gastroenterology department, were provided after TDF was informed of the need. TDF’s former president, Divesh Anireddy, made this generous contribution through the TDF Health Service Project. The donation, facilitated with the support of Pragathi Welfare Society, was appreciated by Gandhi Hospital Superintendent Rajakumari, Principal Indira, and Gastroenterology Department Professor Shravan Kumar. They expressed gratitude to TDF and Pragathi Welfare Society for consistently supporting the hospital with necessary medical equipment.
TDF-USA Board Member Dokuru Sadanand remarked that lifestyle changes have led to an increase in gastroenterological issues in recent times. He added that this donation was made as part of the TDF Health Service Project after assessing the hospital’s requirements.
TDF India President Rajeswar Reddy Matta emphasized that societal progress isn’t just about infrastructure but also about ensuring the health and well-being of its people. He stated that this contribution, made possible through the efforts of former TDF President Divesh Anireddy and Pragathi Welfare Society, involved the donation of advanced medical equipment from Australia, valued at approximately ₹20 lakhs. He further highlighted TDF’s Jai Kisan project, which raises awareness among farmers to avoid using chemical pesticides, as such practices contribute to health problems, including gastro issues.
During the event, Dr. Divesh Anireddy, TDF-USA’s former president, addressed the gathering through a video message, detailing the advanced gastroenterological medical procedures and reaffirming TDF’s commitment to a healthier Telangana.
